My last blog entry involved my inability to see any Chinese characters on my computer. All that I was able to see were groups of 4 numbers enclosed in a box. That problem seems to have been solved with the help of Wikipedia. It seems that the free downloadable language packs designed by Microsoft for Windows 98 and NT also work for Windows XP, without the installation CD being needed. The only problem was that Microsoft didn't bother telling anybody. Wikipedia even provided the download links from Microsoft. Well, I wonder how many computers will still be using a Microsoft operating system 50 years from now.
bravo, mi amico
