Ghost Ship

I never expected to be making this particular blog entry. I had expected Yahoo! 360 to be long gone by now. But it still seems to be there, although long ago abandoned by it's owner, Yahoo!, and left to sail the High Seas of cyberspace bereft of captain and crew.

In any case, I decided that it was time to update my Yahoo! 360 blog. It is now entitled "Ghost Ship". Take a look at it if you care to.

  2. Thanks ;-)

I made Multiply my main blog about the time they announced they were shutting down but I do cross post about half of my blogs there still.

Videos don't work there anymore and about a quarter of my posts don't take. On my 360 (http://360.yahoo.com/johnofallfaith) you will see several entries that are only the titles. I post full entries but in those frequent cases only the titles show up.

In the profile section you will also notice have one broken icon. That's because I made the mistake of trying to use one of thier cartoon icons. Now I can't post a real picture there nor use one of theirs.

When you write them you get a form letter saying they are no longer servicing 360. The 360 user's group is worthless. Half of the time they post my comments or questions and 360 doesn't seem to even be involved in it.

Their MASH blogs are a thing of the past as you probably know. It was a complete flop.

    So...

One day Yahoo MAY either decide to fix 360 one bring its replacement online... we'll see,

  3. LOL Just tried to leave you a message there and got this:

Sorry, the page is not available.

The page you want to access is not available, possibly because:

    * You need to sign in to Yahoo! Sign-in now.
    * The page might display mature content that you've chosen to block. Edit my settings.
    * The page no longer exists.

    Go To Yahoo! 360° Home

    Somethings never change!

  4. I still post on Yahoo360 but it is not the same anymore. I have more or less made Multiply my home and I feel much more comfortable here. It has so many more options and is easier to maintain. plus, the Multiply staff regularly updates the site with fixes.

  5. Actually, I got the same page when I tried to access your comments on my 360 blog entry. Fortunately, it only happened once, so I was able to read the comments.

  7. Right on Captain Jack...Off course its a ghost ship. and like all ghosts, it can't be killed cause its already dead...or rather, its in a state of death, but still stumbling around out here in cyberspace...actually, think about it, it is impossible to kill anything conceived in cyberspace; once its out there, it will always be out there; much like the first wireless transmissions sent into the atmosphere (and ultimately into space) nearly eighty years ago, they are still out there, somewhere. The only way to destroy Internet content would be to destroy the Internet...and the only way to do that would be to completely destroy humanity, and earth. Which is impossible because, the "Primordium Participium Dust" (the only deity that has ever existed) has decreed "Thou Shall Not Kill" But, remember Captain Jack, we must all go down with our own ship and face the beastie...whatever it may come to be...for us. Shalum Shalom, my friend! :)
